Inner Marriage
Reuniting the erotic and the divine within the psyche
Inner marriage is a practice of re-training your nervous system to hold deeper levels of erotic belonging through union with the divine.
Inner marriage helps us stop leaking energy onto the people we date or are in relationship with, so we can show up as whole and okay, whether that person meets our expectations or not.
Inner marriage means we connect all of ourself with the Divine, even our erotic self. You won’t find THAT in churches lol.
So who are you actually ‘marrying’ in this electric, erotic way? You can start with archetypes.
I’m going to give you the raw truth here- it could be anything from ‘my sacred whore’ to ‘my divine muse’ to ‘my holy father’ or in a kinky sense ‘cosmic Daddy’ because remember, this is transpersonal, immortal energy full of living LIGHT, and light wants to warm us with Unconditional Love.
This is BIG. We are re-unifying the erotic WITH the holy.
Personally, I seek out this divine love as ‘my divine husband’ because the ‘husband’ archetype feels good to me, and I find the idea of an immortal husband to be quite sexy!
Okay…if I didn’t freak you out too much with that lol, here are some of the ways I create inner marriage..I invite you to try it too :)
Find images online of celebrities or characters who you’re attracted to or crush on. Ex: I find Kurt Russell hot, bringing him into inner marriage practice provides a symbolic/ archetypal ‘husband’ energy. If you crush on Sydney Sweeney or Marilyn Monroe, keep being present with their images as ‘goddess energy’ (or whatever archetype you like) and let that archetypal truth hit you.
Have an inner marriage ceremony. Buy yourself a sacred ring, and treat it as a symbol of your Divine spouse (however you see them- as lover, god, muse, king, rockstar, vixen, magician, holy father, etc.). I did this in 2021 with a shiva ring (it has the ‘om’ symbol on it) and even wrote vows.
Write Him/ Her poetry or love letters (notice the mood- do your words come out sad/ lonely? hopeful/ romantic? trusting? angry?) Let whatever wants to come up come up.
Go on quiet contemplative walks and imagine your Divine Beloved is there listening. Open up a dialogue with them.
Write a note stating what you need help with, and drop it into a river or stream. Trust your Beloved to open doors and deliver synchronicities in the next couple weeks. (This one works great, I can personally attest to it!)

I've read of mystical marriage in catholic circles.
I have done 1,2 and 4 not knowing this was 'Inner Marriage" , I do find when I incoporate these I am much calmer and less anxious
