Welcome.

Once a really sweet and cute baseball player kissed me while some puppies were in our lap. He was a homecoming king, wholesome type and it weirded me out LOL..it all felt too…tender.

I thought tenderness was weak….so I dated only rogue or warrior type men who seemed dangerous. The sex was hot but each time it ended in neglect and closed hearts.

Taoism taught me that when things are too strong they become rigid and break easily. Tenderness (what at first appears as weakness) holds together better; it’s more sustainable and flexible over time.

I had to find tenderness in myself before I could appreciate it in a man. I am working on being kinder to myself when my own weakness shows up, and softening around others’ weaknesses instead of passing judgment.

The Tao never asks us to be weak, it asks us to be wise.

A question to sit with:

What weakness do you beat yourself up about?

The rest of this exploration- including the full Shadow Huntress photography series, questions & curated I Ching translations- is for paid subscribers.

If this stirred something you don’t want to meet alone, this is exactly the work I do.
